The SMEtoLEAD Team

THE SMEtoLEAD team consists of 10 partners from 10 EU countries. To allow maximum coverage of FP related issues, the SMEtoLEAD partners belong to 4 different types of organisations:

  • PTAs
  • NCPs
  • RTOs
  • Legal Practice

PTAs - Project Technical Advisors - are responsible for the operational and technical monitoring of research projects under the supervision of the Commission services; they can help add knowledge of technical aspects and requirements for the SMEtoLEAD training.

NCPs - National Contact Points – are the main provider of advice and individual assistance to companies including SMEs, regarding certain aspects of the Framework Programme. Their support in SMEtoLEAD brings that of first hand experience of the problems and concerns of SMEs as coordinators.

RTOs - Research and Technological Organisations - have many years of experience in coordinating Framework Programme projects and assisting SMEs to become involved. They can provide first hand experiences of being project coordinators.

Finally the Legal Practice within the team, with their experience of providing advice and support to businesses, will be responsible for all IPR and legal aspects of Research and Technological Development Framework Programme projects participation.
