DETECT-it 2 is an FP6 funded initiative; its main objective is to detect opportunities for specific SMEs to participate in the 7th Framework Programme. DETECT-it 2 will work with existing regional cluster across Europe and will focus on the following priority areas:
The focus of the resources will be placed firmly on the bottom up approach of developing "SME intensive" FP7 projects through connecting regional clusters. SMEs will be encouraged to develop ideas for new research projects and to submit expressions of interest for other FP7 projects.
DETECT-it 2 is a network of 26 partners in 15 countries, including 17 EC Business Innovation Centres (BICs). The coordinator is EBN (Europen BIC Network).
